Temple Saint-Étienne is the largest Protestant church in France, an imposing neo-Gothic structure that dominates the Mulhouse skyline. Built between 1859 and 1869, it reaches 97 meters in height, making it one of the tallest churches in the country. The interior is light and airy, with tall stained-glass windows depicting biblical scenes. The organ, built by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, is renowned for its rich sound. Visitors can climb the tower for panoramic views of Mulhouse and the Vosges mountains. The church is an active place of worship, so you may hear organ recitals or choir rehearsals. It's a peaceful retreat from the city bustle and a testament to the region's Protestant heritage.
