The Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is one of the most iconic trekking routes in the world, spanning approximately 170 kilometers around the Mont Blanc massif. The trail passes through three countries, France, Italy, and Switzerland, offering diverse landscapes from lush valleys to glacial passes. While the full circuit takes 7-11 days, sections near Megeve provide excellent day hikes. The route is well-marked and dotted with mountain huts (refuges) for overnight stays. Hikers are rewarded with ever-changing views of the highest peak in the Alps, as well as charming alpine villages. The TMB is not just a physical challenge but a cultural journey, crossing borders and experiencing different cuisines and traditions. For those short on time, the section from Les Contamines to Les Houches offers a taste of the full experience.
