Le Chemin du Calvaire (Way of the Cross) is a unique outdoor attraction that combines natural beauty with religious history. This winding path climbs gently from the village center up a hillside, passing 15 small chapels and oratories that represent the Stations of the Cross. Each structure is distinct in design, some with painted interiors or carved wooden figures depicting scenes from the Passion of Christ. The path is well-maintained and lined with trees, offering shade in summer and a peaceful atmosphere year-round. As you ascend, you are rewarded with increasingly stunning views of Megeve, the surrounding mountains, and the valley below. The walk is suitable for most fitness levels, though there are some uphill sections. It is a popular activity for both pilgrims and casual walkers, providing a moment of reflection and a chance to appreciate the alpine landscape. The Chemin du Calvaire is especially atmospheric in the early morning or late afternoon when the light filters through the trees.
