The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Upper Church, towers over the Grotto of Massabielle. Completed in 1871, this neo-Gothic masterpiece features a soaring spire, stained glass windows depicting the apparitions, and a crypt below. The interior is adorned with ex-votos and mosaics. From the balcony, visitors can view the grotto and the esplanade. The basilica is part of the larger sanctuary complex and is a focal point for pilgrimages.
