The Diana Garden (Jardin de Diane) is a refined formal garden located just north of the Château de Fontainebleau. Originally created in the 16th century for Catherine de Medici, the garden was later redesigned in the 19th century under Napoleon III. Its centerpiece is the Fountain of Diana, a bronze statue of the goddess Diana with a deer, surrounded by ornate flowerbeds and manicured hedges. The garden offers a peaceful retreat from the château's crowds, with gravel paths, ornamental ponds, and a backdrop of the château's north façade. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment amidst history.
