Fort Saint-Elme perches on a hill overlooking Collioure and the Mediterranean, offering some of the best views in the region. Built in the 16th century by Emperor Charles V, this star-shaped fortress was part of a network of defenses along the coast. Today, it houses a museum dedicated to medieval and Renaissance arms, with a collection of swords, armor, and cannons. Visitors can climb to the top of the fort for a 360-degree panorama that stretches from the Pyrénées to the sea. The site is less crowded than the château, making it a peaceful spot to absorb history and scenery.

  • Enjoy panoramic views of Collioure, the coast, and the Pyrénées from the fort's ramparts.
