Plage du Bestouan is a charming pebbled beach located just a short walk from Cassis's bustling port and town center. Unlike the sandy coves further along the coast, this beach offers a more accessible option for a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean. The shoreline is covered in smooth pebbles, so water shoes are recommended for comfort. From the beach, you have an unobstructed view of the towering Cap Canaille, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, which creates a dramatic backdrop. The water here is clear and inviting, making it popular for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is relatively narrow and can get crowded in summer, but its proximity to town means you can easily pop back for a gelato or a meal at a nearby café. There are no dedicated facilities, so bring your own towel and supplies.
