The Miroir d'Eau (Water Mirror) is a shallow pool covering 3,450 square meters on the quay opposite Place de la Bourse. Opened in 2006, it is the largest reflecting pool in the world. The surface is just 2 cm deep, designed to create a perfect mirror of the 18th-century square and the sky. Every few minutes, the water drains and a fine mist rises from thousands of nozzles, creating a dreamlike fog that cools visitors in summer. Children and adults alike delight in running through the mist. At night, the pool is illuminated, reflecting the lit facades. The Miroir d'Eau is a free public attraction and a favorite spot for photographers, especially at sunrise and sunset. It also serves as a gathering place for events and celebrations.

Don't miss

  • The mirror effect when the water is still, reflecting Place de la Bourse perfectly
  • The mist cycle that creates a cool, atmospheric fog every few minutes
  • Photography opportunities at golden hour with the reflection of historic buildings
  • A refreshing stop on hot days, children love to splash in the thin water layer
  • Evening visits when the pool is lit and the square is illuminated
