Jardin Public is a 10-hectare green oasis in the heart of Bordeaux, established in 1746 as one of France's first public gardens. Its English-style landscape features winding paths, a large pond with swans and ducks, and a variety of mature trees. The garden is divided into several sections: a formal French garden near the entrance, a romantic English garden, and a botanical garden with labeled plants. The natural history museum (Muséum de Bordeaux) is located within the park, showcasing exhibits on local flora and fauna. Visitors can also find a small puppet theater, a playground, and several cafés. It's a popular spot for jogging, picnicking, or simply relaxing away from the city bustle.
