The Pertusato Islands are a cluster of rocky islets and reefs located just south of Bonifacio, off the coast of Cape Pertusato. This protected area is part of the Bouches de Bonifacio Nature Reserve, known for its crystal-clear waters, diverse marine life, and rugged landscapes. The islands are uninhabited and accessible only by boat, offering a pristine escape for snorkeling, diving, and birdwatching. The surrounding waters are home to colorful fish, sea urchins, and occasional dolphins. On land, the islands feature low scrub vegetation and dramatic rock formations, including the iconic Phare de Pertusato lighthouse on the cape. The area is a haven for seabirds like cormorants and gulls. Visitors can take guided boat tours from Bonifacio Port that stop near the islands for swimming and exploration.
