The Musée Picasso is located in the historic Château Grimaldi, a medieval castle overlooking the Mediterranean. During his stay in Antibes in 1946, Picasso created a series of paintings and drawings inspired by the sea and mythology, many of which he donated to the museum. Visitors can explore these works in the very rooms where he painted, with natural light streaming through the windows. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the old town and harbor. The collection includes ceramics, sketches, and large-scale paintings, offering an intimate glimpse into Picasso's creative process during a pivotal period.
