Kuopio Cathedral, completed in 1815, is a masterpiece of neoclassical architecture designed by Carl Ludvig Engel. Its prominent green dome and tall bell tower are visible from across the city. The cathedral serves as the seat of the Diocese of Kuopio and hosts regular services and concerts.
