The Lioness of Gobedra is a large relief carving of a lioness, measuring about 3 meters in length, etched into a granite outcrop. It is believed to date from the pre-Christian Axumite period, possibly associated with a fertility cult or royal symbolism. Visitors can hike up the hillside to view the carving up close, appreciating the skill of ancient stoneworkers. The site offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and a sense of Axum's ancient landscape.
