Tallinn Zoo is one of Europe's oldest zoos, established in 1939, and is renowned for its conservation work with endangered species. The zoo's collection includes over 500 species, with a particular focus on cold-climate animals like snow leopards, Amur leopards, and polar bears. The enclosures are spacious and designed to mimic natural environments, with large rock formations and water features. Visitors can also see red pandas, Siberian tigers, and a variety of birds in the aviary. The zoo is divided into themed areas such as the 'Alpine Tundra' and 'Asian Steppe', making for an educational stroll through different ecosystems.
