The Tallinn Christmas Market transforms the medieval Town Hall Square into a winter wonderland each December. At its center stands a grand Christmas tree, a tradition dating back to 1441, when the first public tree was erected here. Stalls overflow with handcrafted gifts, woolen scarves, and wooden toys, while the air fills with the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread. Visitors can enjoy live performances on the square's stage and sample local holiday treats like verivorst (blood sausage) and sauerkraut.
