Silma Nature Reserve, located just east of Haapsalu, encompasses a mosaic of coastal meadows, reed beds, and mixed forests. It is a haven for birdwatchers, especially during spring and autumn migrations when thousands of waterfowl and waders stop over. Visitors can walk along marked trails and observation platforms to spot species like whooper swans, cranes, and various ducks. The reserve's tranquil landscape also features juniper groves and alvars, offering a peaceful escape into Estonia's coastal nature.
