Mullutu-Suurlaht is a system of two connected lakes, Mullutu and Suurlaht, located just south of Kuressaare. These shallow, reed-fringed lakes are a prime spot for birdwatching, especially during spring and autumn migrations when thousands of waterfowl stop over. A wooden boardwalk and observation tower provide excellent views. The surrounding meadows and forests offer quiet walking trails, making it a serene escape into nature.

Don't miss

  • Climb the birdwatching tower for panoramic views of the lakes and birds.
  • Walk the boardwalk trail through reeds and observe waterfowl like swans and ducks.
  • Spot rare plant species in the surrounding coastal meadows.
