Absolutely delicious pelmeni dumplings with a wide variety of fillings. This place is located in a food hall and it wasnt the most popular stand. I have no idea why, as it was definetly the most authentic and interesting one for us visiting Tallin. We tried 2 flavours - salmon and classic - and both were delicious. For drinks sea buckthorn and lingonberry lemonade, for me this was na extra treat,as such flavours are nowhere to be found in other parts of Europe. All in all very satisfying meal.
A simple lunch at the counter inside the market - Balti Jaama Turg. They serve amazing borsh soup! Came back a second time before we fly off. The beef and pork dumpling was delicious too!
Popped in after a little walk around Tallinn never been in here before don’t think it’s been open very well but the way they’ve decorated it is very nice with old Soviet memorabilia. Nice selection of food on the menu we went for the wild mushroom soup, the duck and thyme dumplings and the potato salad with crawfish all very nice and fresh and the prices are very reasonable unlike some of the people that have left bad reviews, I do wonder if they came to the same place.
We had lunch in this restaurant during our Baltic trip, when we came to Tallinn. First of all interior decorating of this place is based on nostalgic themes of former Soviet Union which included old pieces on the wall and even plates, cups and pots. We had rhubarb drink. For entree we ordered sharing snacks plate with garlic bread, pickles, sprats, cheese and lard and plate with hash browns , boiled eggs and herring with red and spring onion and onions marinated with beetroot. Both plates were extremely delicious. For main we had dumplings with potatoes and fried onions and lamb with garlic. Incredibly delicious Russian dumplings with nostalgic taste. For dessert we get honey cake with sea buckthorn jam and dumplings with cheese in sour cherries sauce with sour cherries and sour cream. It was really “ cherry on the top “ of our lunch. Service also was excellent. So great place, great staff and great food.
