Ørkild Castle is a ruined medieval fortress located on the island of Tåsinge, just south of Svendborg. Built in the 14th century, it once controlled the shipping route through Svendborgsund. Today, visitors can explore the remaining stone walls, a tower base, and the surrounding parkland. The site offers a quiet, atmospheric glimpse into the region's feudal history, with interpretive signs explaining the castle's role. It's a short walk from the village of Vindeby.
