Men at Sea is an iconic sculpture by Svend Wiig Hansen, erected in 1995 on the Esbjerg waterfront. The four colossal white figures, each 9 meters tall, stand on a dune overlooking the North Sea, their gazes fixed on the horizon. The monument symbolizes the longing and loss of those who work at sea, as well as the region's deep connection to fishing and shipping. Visitors can walk among the giants, feeling dwarfed by their scale while enjoying panoramic views of the coast and harbor.
