Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, founded by brewer Carl Jacobsen in 1888, houses an extensive collection of ancient art from Egypt, Greece, and Rome, alongside a superb array of 19th-century French paintings. The museum's highlight is its collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works by artists such as Monet, Renoir, and Gauguin. The building itself is a masterpiece, with a stunning winter garden under a glass dome. Visitors can wander through tranquil galleries and enjoy the serene courtyard café.

  • Admire the winter garden with palm trees, fountains, and a glass dome, a peaceful oasis in the city center.
  • View the largest collection of French Impressionist paintings in Scandinavia, including works by Degas and Cézanne.
  • Explore the Egyptian mummies and sarcophagi in the ancient art wing, one of the best collections outside Egypt.
