Sedlec Abbey, founded in 1142, is a former Cistercian monastery in Kutná Hora. Today, it houses two major attractions: the Sedlec Ossuary, a small chapel decorated with the bones of thousands of people, and the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist, a UNESCO-listed Gothic church.
