Koněprusy Caves, located near Karlstejn, form the most extensive cave system in Bohemia, stretching over two kilometers. Discovered in 1950, these limestone caves consist of three levels, with the middle level open to the public. Visitors can marvel at a variety of stalactite and stalagmite formations, including the 'Bald-headed Man' and 'Concert Hall' chambers. The caves also yielded a famous prehistoric human jawbone, indicating ancient habitation. A guided tour takes about an hour, revealing the geological wonders and history of this subterranean world.
