Protaras is a quieter alternative to Ayia Napa, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and pristine beaches such as Fig Tree Bay and Sunrise Beach. A key landmark is the Profitis Ilias chapel, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the coast and inland hills.
