Plaza Mayor is the heart of Trinidad, a lively cobblestone square surrounded by colonial landmarks like the Museo de Arquitectura Colonial and the Iglesia Parroquial de la Santísima Trinidad. The square is shaded by palm trees and features a central bandstand where locals and tourists gather. It's the perfect place to sit on a bench, watch the world go by, and admire the beautifully preserved architecture. Street vendors and musicians add to the festive atmosphere, especially in the evenings.

Don't miss

  • Climb the bell tower of the Iglesia Parroquial for panoramic views of the city
  • Browse the artisan stalls selling local crafts and souvenirs
  • Enjoy live music at the Casa de la Música, steps from the square
