Housed in the opulent former Presidential Palace, the Museum of the Revolution traces Cuba's history from pre-Columbian times through the 1959 revolution and beyond. The building itself is a highlight, with its grand neoclassical facade and lavish interiors. Exhibits include artifacts from the independence wars, the revolutionary struggle led by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, and the Bay of Pigs invasion. Outside, the Granma Memorial displays the yacht that carried Castro and his comrades from Mexico to Cuba, along with other military vehicles.
