Camagüey's historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its irregular, winding streets and charming colonial plazas. Unlike many other Cuban cities, Camagüey's layout was designed to confuse pirates, resulting in a labyrinth of narrow alleys and sudden squares.
