St. Nicholas Fortress is a well-preserved 16th-century Venetian fortress located at the entrance to the St. Anthony Channel, just north of Vodice. Built to protect Šibenik from Ottoman attacks, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Venetian Works of Defence. The fortress is unique for its triangular shape and its position on a small island. Visitors can take a boat tour to the fortress, explore its thick stone walls, and learn about its strategic military history. The site offers impressive views of the channel and the surrounding sea.
