St. John's Fortress (Tvrđava sv. Ivana) is a 16th-century defensive structure perched on a hill above Šibenik. Built by the Venetians to protect against Ottoman attacks, it now offers visitors a peaceful hiking trail leading to the summit. The walk is lined with Mediterranean vegetation and provides sweeping views of the city's red rooftops, the Krka River estuary, and the Adriatic islands. The fortress itself is partially ruined, but its ramparts and bastions are accessible, making it a favorite spot for photography and sunset watching.
