The Stari Grad Plain on Hvar Island is a UNESCO World Heritage site that showcases a remarkably intact Greek agricultural system from the 4th century BC. Visitors can walk or cycle through a patchwork of olive groves, vineyards, and stone-walled fields divided by ancient dry-stone walls. The plain's distinctive geometry, known as chora, is still used for farming today. It offers a peaceful, rural contrast to the coast, with small stone shelters and historic hamlets dotting the landscape.
