St. Blaise's Church is a Baroque gem on Luža Square, built in the early 18th century on the site of a Romanesque predecessor. The church honors Dubrovnik's patron saint, who is said to have saved the city from Venetian attack. Inside, the main altar holds a striking silver-gilt statue of St. Blaise, crafted in 1410, which survived the 1667 earthquake. The church's oval shape and ornate stucco work create an intimate, reverent atmosphere. Visitors often pause to admire the saint's model of pre-earthquake Dubrovnik.
