The Franciscan friary in Dubrovnik is a serene oasis in the bustling Old Town, encompassing a monastery, a church, and a cloister. The monastery's highlight is the pharmacy, founded in 1317 and still dispensing remedies today, making it one of the oldest continuously operating pharmacies in Europe. Visitors can see antique jars and pharmaceutical equipment in the small museum. The Romanesque-Gothic cloister, with its graceful columns and tranquil garden, offers a peaceful retreat. The church itself features a Renaissance pulpit and a notable Pietà by local sculptor Nikola Lazanić.
