Plavnik is a small, uninhabited island off the coast of Cres, designated as a nature reserve for its unique karst landscape and rich birdlife. The island is covered in low scrub and rocky terrain, with a single marked trail leading to its highest point, offering sweeping views of the Kvarner Gulf. It is a haven for birdwatchers, especially for observing griffon vultures and other raptors. The island has no facilities, so visitors must bring water and supplies.
