Cahuita National Park is a stunning protected area on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, renowned for its beautiful beaches and vibrant coral reefs. Visitors can snorkel directly from the shore to see colorful fish, sea turtles, and rays in the clear waters. The park's hiking trails wind through coastal rainforest, where white-faced capuchin monkeys, coatis, and toucans are frequently spotted. Distinctive for its lack of entrance fee (donation-based) and the chance to combine beach relaxation with wildlife viewing, Cahuita offers a quintessential Caribbean nature experience. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 300 species recorded.

Don't miss
