Curi Cancha Wildlife Reserve is a 215-acre private reserve that protects primary and secondary cloud forest. It's renowned for its excellent wildlife viewing, especially on guided hikes led by naturalist guides. The trails are less crowded than the Monteverde Reserve, offering a more intimate experience. Visitors commonly see white-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, coatis, and a variety of birds such as toucans, motmots, and the elusive resplendent quetzal. The reserve's diverse habitats include forest, pasture, and gardens, attracting a wide range of species. It's a top choice for photographers and birdwatchers.
