Cartagena Cathedral, officially the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, is one of the oldest churches in the Americas, with construction beginning in the 16th century. Its neoclassical facade, completed later, contrasts with the more ornate Baroque interiors. The cathedral's spacious nave and high ceilings create a sense of grandeur, while the altar and side chapels feature religious art and gold leaf. As the seat of the Archdiocese of Cartagena, it remains an active place of worship and a key landmark in the UNESCO-listed historic center.
