The Five-Pavilion Bridge is a signature landmark of Slender West Lake, featuring five distinctive pavilions atop a stone arch bridge. Built during the Qing Dynasty, the bridge's design harmoniously blends northern grandeur with southern elegance. Visitors can climb the bridge to enjoy sweeping views of the lake and surrounding gardens, or admire its reflection in the water. The bridge is especially photogenic at sunset when the pavilions are silhouetted against the sky. It also serves as a central hub for boat tours and strolls along the lake.

Don't miss

  • Climb to the top pavilion for a panoramic view of Slender West Lake and the White Pagoda.
  • Photograph the bridge from the east bank at sunset for the best reflections.
  • Count the 15 arches beneath the bridge, which allow boats to pass through.
