Zhao Mausoleum, also known as Beiling, is the burial site of Huang Taiji, the second emperor of the Qing dynasty, and his empress. Located in northern Shenyang, this UNESCO World Heritage site is part of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Visitors walk along the Sacred Way lined with stone animals and officials, then explore the ornate square city and the treasure hall. The mausoleum is set within a large park, making it a peaceful retreat where locals practice tai chi amid ancient pines.
