The Bund is Shanghai's most famous waterfront, stretching along the Huangpu River. Visitors can stroll the promenade, taking in the striking contrast between the historic European-style buildings on one side and the futuristic Pudong skyline on the other. It's a prime spot for photography and people-watching, especially at dusk when the buildings light up. The area also offers river cruises and access to nearby shopping streets.

Don't miss

  • Admire the colonial architecture of the Customs House and Peace Hotel
  • Photograph the Pudong skyline including the Oriental Pearl Tower
  • Take a Huangpu River cruise for a different perspective
