We tried the Beef and Teppanyaki Special lunch sets (HK$ 450+ & 580+). Tasty cuts of sirloin and tenderloin for this pricing. The fried rice was surprisingly delicious and very well executed (note: I'm not a fan of high carbs rice dishes so it takes a lot to impress me), Kudos to the chef and service team. The teppanyaki sets offer better value and variety than the chirashi sushi set. Overall, the food quality is better than a number of Michelin starred restaurants we tried in Hong Kong.
special menu is unacceptable. Ingredients aren’t bad yet how the food is cooked really disappointed me
The service at this restaurant is good and very hospitable. The people are nice. The meat that is prepared is offensive and sub par. I realize China does not have the best meat available in the world - but Lord have mercy - the cuts of meat here that is served on Hibachi are worse than the Sizzler back in the US. The preparation of the food on Hibachi are awesome - but the meat is just plain garbage. I spent $900 USD on Hibachi for 5 people and 3 of my guests didn't drink alcoholic beverages. Gristle. Did I mention fat and gristle? gristle caught in your teeth when trying to eat a "tenderloin". Knaw Knaw Knaw - then spit out into your napkin and try not to act like you are about to choke. I really wish it was worth $150 per person - but it was not. It was worth $30 per person at best with that beef cut. Even the very best cut of meat that I saw was a sloppy lump. nasty. Just glad I got through it. save yourself a ton of money and go somewhere else. The beef cuts are nasty. The fish also is fatty and nasty. One guest had some fish (cod) - and it was gushy, fatty and tasteless. 2 Americans and 3 Chinese Nationals - all said it was blah. don't waste your time. I wont be back in this lifetime. Very disappointed.
The Nadaman is split in txo different sections. You can enjoy a japanese style of food in both maners: teryaki style or sushi. I had the chance to sih in a front row and had a promotion on the sake. One of the best experiences i had in Canton so far. The Shangri-la offered again a satisfactiln in quality of food and service.
