Daxiangguo Temple, originally built in 555 AD during the Northern Qi dynasty, is one of Kaifeng's most significant Buddhist sites. The temple complex has been rebuilt multiple times, with the current structures dating to the Qing dynasty. Its main hall houses a striking 7-meter-tall wooden statue of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, carved from a single ginkgo tree. Visitors can explore the tranquil courtyards, admire ancient stone carvings, and observe local worshippers burning incense. The temple's millennium-long history is palpable in its weathered halls and serene atmosphere.
