This is one of the most innovative restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. While the good is based on a variety of Korean ingredients and the various jang (soy based seasonings) the style of the various courses are diverse. The flavors are complex, subtle and delicious. The service was excellent without being intrusive. The decor is rather sparse but elegant, and the wooden tables fit the presentations of the plates very well. The wine list is very good and various regions and countries are represented. I would definitely go back if I am in Seoul again.
Mingles does not disappoint. It is a quietly thoughtful dining experience, using traditional, Korean immigrant ingredients and flavors, providing an amazing culinary experience. I am of Korean heritage and was tickled by the parade of beautifully presented small plates that had suggestions of traditional Korean cuisine. The meal is modern, Elevated, and beautiful. Please note, there is no bar and cocktails are not available. The wine menu and selection were outstanding.
