Jama Mosque stands as the central place of worship for Hotan's Muslim community. Built in the traditional Uyghur style, the mosque features a large courtyard surrounded by cloisters supported by carved wooden pillars. The prayer hall is adorned with colorful tilework and calligraphy. Non-Muslims can enter the courtyard outside prayer times to admire the architecture and observe the peaceful atmosphere. The mosque's minaret rises above the old city, offering a landmark visible from the bazaar.
