Food was good and fast. Friendly staff. Nice building, worth checking out if you want fine dining french. Perfect for a romantic evening.
Love the place, good food and good service. One of the best restaurants for French cuisine in Beijing. Their new open BBQ restaurant Roti is just in front of it, with nice outdoor seats.
Took my wife here for her birthday. Was hoping that we could splash out a little and have a pampering, relaxing meal. Quite the opposite. Service was inattentive even though the restaurant was far from full Food was bland. French onion soup was nearly tasteless. Courses were not well timed. They told us our steak was ready while we were only 1/2 way through our appetizers, and did we want it now? We said we wanted to wait. So then when our steak did arrive, it was well overcooked - so we sent it back for another one. Definitely will not go back.
Have been meaning to come here for years. Finally made it and was very impressed. The location and setting are terrible, but we knew this. The interior is not much better, but the ambience is not too bad. But we came for the food, and pleased to say it is excellent! I was expecting some typical brasserie fare, but this is proper fine dining. Lots of interesting and unusual choices. We had daily menu and a la carte, but tasting menu looked great. Very good wine list. The service was perfect - informal, attentive, friendly and not overbearing. I loved that this quality of food can be had in such a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere. Prices are high, but considerably less (like 50%) of what you would pay for a meal like this in London or New York. Highly recommended. I look forward to going back.
