La Moneda Palace, originally built as a mint in the late 18th century, now serves as the presidential headquarters of Chile. Its stark white neoclassical architecture dominates the Plaza de la Constitución. Visitors can join free guided tours to explore the interior courtyards, the presidential offices, and the Hall of the Blue Room, where official ceremonies occur. The palace is also a symbol of resilience, having survived a 1973 bombing. Outside, the changing of the guard ceremony adds a touch of pageantry, while the surrounding gardens and monuments invite quiet reflection.
