La Chascona is one of three houses owned by Nobel laureate Pablo Neruda, now a museum dedicated to his life and work. Nestled in the bohemian Barrio Bellavista, the house reflects Neruda's eccentric personality with its maze-like layout, hidden nooks, and eclectic collections of seashells, glassware, and art. Visitors can tour the poet's study, bedroom, and bar, all preserved as they were during his lifetime, and learn about his passions for poetry, the sea, and everyday objects.
Don't miss
- Admire Neruda's personal collection of colorful glassware and seashells displayed throughout the house.
- See the poet's study, complete with his desk and typewriter, offering a glimpse into his creative process.
- Wander the terraced garden with its whimsical architecture and views of the neighborhood.
