BC Place is Vancouver's premier sports and entertainment venue, notable for its fully retractable roof that opens in good weather. It hosts the BC Lions football team and Vancouver Whitecaps soccer club, as well as major concerts and events. The stadium seats over 54,000 and features a distinctive teflon-coated fabric roof. Visitors can take guided tours to see behind the scenes, including the locker rooms and press box. Its central location near False Creek makes it easy to reach from downtown.
