✨ HighlightWent for a b-day celebration. Literally everything was awesome but obvs very expensive. Staff, service, ambience all top shelf. Only kinda downside is some tables are pretty close together so there can be a lack of room & privacy which is fine if you're looking for a lovely dining experience but not so much if you're looking for a quiet romantic no interruptions kind of meal.→

Every dish I tried was fantastic, and the staff were not only friendly but also skilled at offering excellent recommendations without being intrusive. Two standout items were the Lobster Pappardelle, which was beautifully complemented by a rich, creamy saffron butter sauce, and the tiramisu, an indulgent treat that paired perfectly with a bold double espresso. ✨ HighlightGirl friend’s birthday wants to bring her to one of the best 100 Canada restaurants and rated the best in Vancouver for a number of years. The restaurant didn’t let us down at all. The only thing is i made the restaurant as my friend’s birthday celebration but they forgot 😅. Food and environment is so great. Chef menu has choice of 2 for every course and both options look great. We ended up ordered every dishes. We also added truffle tart to share. It’s absolutely worth it.→

✨ HighlightExpected more of this one star Michelin. Some good composition and good service, but most dishes did not wow me. Also $17 for mulled wine, even if it was excellent, is excessive, and charging $8 for extra bread was a sour note (they only included one for our table of two when neighboring single diner had a bread of his own). All things considered, felt high price tag is not justified. Paid $400 including tip for two for the two set menus, 2 cheapest glasses of wine and 2 mulled wines.→

✨ HighlightWOW what an experience!! Came here for a friend’s birthday and we all had a blast from the start to finish. The service is absolutely top notch, we were instantly greeted and seated by the host, everyone smiled at me when I walk in the room, our server was funny and made good suggestions, the owner came out to ask how the food was which felt personal and welcoming, everyone served us was attentive and friendly, they even offer to divide the food for you, have not experienced service like this in a very very long time. This is the standard Vancouver restaurants should look up to when they ask for minimum 18% tips. I must add that their machine doesn’t have fixed percentage, it gives you the option to select either amount or percentage then enter the number as you see fit. This is very rare especially considering it’s fine dining, it is definitely a bonus when the tip culture nowadays is out of control. With that being said, for their excellent service and food, everyone including myself is more than happy to tip generously. Now the food, the BEST pasta I’ve ever had. The sauce, the texture of the noodles, the portion of the meat, everything in one bite is perfection. We shared the pacific octopus as appetizer, the sauce was unique and surprisingly good, the octopus was very tender. The lamb rack we shared was already separated by the chef when served, initially I was skeptical to get a medium rare cooked lamb but it turned out to be so tender and juicy. The cocktails and desserts were super delicious as well. I would like to come back to try more dishes before they close down 😋→

✨ HighlightThe complete package - delicious, creative, and great value to boot. Not content to show their whole hand on their printed menu, little treats in between courses delight the taste buds and build momentum throughout the prix fixe meal. Dishes are universally knockout, the veal tongue and duck breast with peach being my personal favourites. Normally, I leave discussions of ambiance and service to others and focus purely on the food, but the experience at Barbara was so nice that I feel like I ought to talk about it a bit. The restaurant is tiny, and seated at the “bar” it’s almost to impossible to ignore the smooth plating, mixing, and tight kitchen choreography on display. Enjoyable conversation with the people behind the counter is unavoidable and adds greatly to the intimacy of the meal. Oh, and the drinks are superb too - get the spicy one. A must try.→

✨ HighlightHello, my partner and I visited a restaurant on Saturday evening for a date. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, with soft lighting and lively music. I enjoyed it, but some individuals might find the music to be excessively loud. The restaurant had an interesting concept where customers could select their own jams, spreads, meats, and cheeses. We even had to obtain our own plates and utensils. Although the wine selection was somewhat limited, we had a delightful time overall.→
