The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres are a historic double-decker complex in downtown Toronto, comprising the Elgin Theatre on the lower level and the Winter Garden Theatre above. Built in 1913, they are the last operating stacked theatres in the world. The Winter Garden features a stunning ceiling of real beech leaves and twigs, creating a garden-like atmosphere. Visitors can take guided tours to learn about the theatres' restoration and see the ornate architecture, or attend performances ranging from Broadway shows to concerts.
