The SS Sicamous is a 1914-built sternwheeler that once carried passengers and freight across Okanagan Lake. Now a museum, visitors can explore its restored decks, engine room, and elegant saloons, learning about the steamboat era that shaped the region. The ship is docked at the Penticton waterfront, offering interactive exhibits and period furnishings. Distinctively, it is one of the largest surviving sternwheelers in Canada and hosts weddings and events. Visitors can walk the promenade, see the original steam engine, and imagine life aboard during the lake's heyday.

Don't miss

  • Tour the restored passenger cabins and grand dining saloon.
  • See the massive steam engine and learn how the paddlewheel worked.
  • Climb to the upper deck for views of Okanagan Lake and the city.
